Drawing Attention to the Irish-language Schools Enrolment Crisis in Kildare North

Many parents have contacted me recently to highlight their serious concerns over the lack of places for children in their preferred schooling method, Irish-language instruction.

Up to 200 Kildare North children are being affected by the dearth of available spaces.

I asked a number of parliamentary questions, which you can read here, and tabled a topical issue debate on the matter, the transcript of which you can read here. The Deparment have not been able to offer any meaningful response as yet unfortunately.

If you’re an affected parent, please don’t hesitate to contact me in my Dáil or Leixlip offices.
