Celbridge Traffic Management Plan
The Celbridge Traffic Management Plan was completed in 2008, it identified the measures require in order to properly manage traffic in the Town. The National Transportation Authoirty (NTA) fund measures if they are part of an integrated plan. The Council have been in discussions with the NTA with a view to its funding needs for this plan in 2011. While it appears that such funding will materialise next year, there is a health warning on this because the extent of exchequer funding is not known yet. The Celbridge Traffic Management Plan also deals with public transport and pedestrian issues. The Celbridge Area Committee agreed to set aside time at our January meeting, when there will be a bit more clarity on funding, in order to have a full discussion on the plan, and how it can be fully implemented, that of course includes the public transport and pedestrian aspects.
